WKF – World Kickboxing Federation – was 2011 the fastest growing World sanctioning body. Events for amateurs and pro on 6 continents in 104 countries shows about the serious activities of our promoter, manager and fighters.

Just in 12 month WKF has sanctioned more than 100 title fights World wide. From South Africa to Scandinavia, from USA to Russia. In Papua New Guinea and Australia, as well as 15 events just on the African continent. This confirm once again our slogan “we are the real global player”

We have no fakes on our event schedule, our World ranking is top, based on informations we get from our network.

Beijing, China;  WKF CHINA is moving forward. Our office in Beijing is always in negotiations with local promoters for next events.

For 2012 we have already 5 events scheduled in China. Soon we will have our first Chinese WKF Champions.

Harald Folladori, best known as an athlete, referee and promoter – will be appointed from 02.01.2012 to WKF coordinator Central Europe.
Folladori is already 25 years in kickboxing sport operates and is a size in the International sporting events, represents this task is performed by the WKF to strengthen their expansion and carry on.

He is directly responsible only to the CEO Fritz Exenberger and directs the agenda in professional and amateur sector. His responsibilities include the four border region, Western Austria – Switzerland – Liechtenstein and Southern Germany.

National Coordinator of the PNG Kickboxing Association Mr. Micah Oki confirmed this over the weekend meeting at the Shady Hotel that the 12th National Kickboxing Championship is set for the 8th -9th 2012 in Port Moresby. Micah who just return back from the highlands region developing the code throughout the provinces in Southern Highlands, Hela, Jiwaka, Chimbu and Goroka for the past 6 months. The announcement was made in accordance with the lunching of the movie project in PNG. Micah said Kickboxing Sport has been very quiet after Nandex’s last retirement fight but he said he has developed lot of clubs, schools and potential fighters to continue Nandex’s legacy and maintain the discipline and code in the country.

Pretoria, South Africa;  WKF RSA president Mr. Mark HEY announce proudly the next huge event.

Name of the event is USP Big 5 , date June 30th. It will be for WKF 8 man K-1 South African title and also Extreme Striking South African title as well as SAPMAC (SA control board tile honours), with TV coverage as well.

Because of more and more requests from the Balkan area WKF board of directors Mr. Istvan ROZMAN / HUN and Mr. Georg MUELLER / GER decide to appoint Mr. Kisasondi as new WKF BALKAN area director with immediate effect.

His first project is the new ” WKF Inter League” , an international amateur team match  5 to 5 in K-1 rules, in the beginning for C -class fighters. First event is scheduled for February 25th.

Participating countries are Croatia, Hungary, Bosnia, Austria, Slovakia and Italy.

The idea behind is start with an international league for amateurs, and to open a chance to fight for good amateurs on international level .

Vienna, Austria; WKF head office organise the annual World referee Seminar in next  March 2nd-4th.

Until today we have more than 50 registrations from our male / female referees of 5 continents.

Because of many registrations World wide we must change the Venue to  4* Hotel KAVALIER, Linzer Strasse 165, 1140 Vienna, arriving time 3pm.

Please note:  the organisers can just book your Hotel if you transfer the fee at least two weeks before to our Bank account in Austria, together with your registration list.

The next host of the World referee seminar for 2013 is scheduled for Kalisz in Poland.

All WKF referees, who not has attended the last seminar in Lviv 2011, must extend their license in Vienna. The extended License is valid for three Years again.

Big 5 Gyms and HeySports Management are delighted to announce the signing of Siboniso “Ton Po” Twala on a two year contract for K-1, Extreme Striking, Muay Thai and Kickboxing.

Twala is the first of four fighter announcements as the BIG 5 team is confirmed for 2012.01.20. Tiger Ximba is of course already number one so keep an eye out over the next three weeks as the BIG 5 are all presented.

Twala was an unbeaten junior K-1fighter under coach Mark Hey turning professional in 2008 before disappearing off the scene for the last two years.
An approach by him just before Christmas drew a very enthusiastic response from coach Hey who felt there was plenty of unfinished business with the boy’s career ….
