In the last meeting of the WKF council and board of directors in Vienna WKF decide for some important changes with immediate effects.

Because of more and more upcoming daily business, request and events in the Caribbean and Latin – America area we consolidated both together, create a new office LAC  and a new regulation for this area is valid now.

With immediate effect Mr. John Henry RINCON (WKF COLOMBIA) is new continental director for Latin America as well as for the Caribbean area.

Tallinn, Estonia; WKF ESTONIA president Mr. Kristo KARU announce on February 11th a real K-1 World title fight in Tallinn. Baltic superstar Kevin RENNO challenge Ukraine World Champion Volodymir ARTEMENKO for the Lightmiddle weight – 72,30 Kg Champion belt.

Santa Catarina, Brasil; our new WKF BRAZIL president Mr. Marcelo Alexandre  LISBOA is very experienced in MMA too.

The negotiations about a continental title fight starts already with WKF Colombia.

And Mr. Lisboa confirmed also the participation of the Brazilian national team in the World Championships in Croatia. This will bring good MMA fights in the cage for sure.

At the end of the year 2011 the capital Prague had chance to watch  pro martial arts event Heroes Gate. There were 8 professional bouts on the fight list and the whole event was very successful.

The Arena Sparta Sports hall was completely full and the event was broadcasted by Czech TV Sports Channel 4. The promoters have invested a lot of money to the massive promotion of the event as billboards, posters, radio and tv spots, newspapers…

The first top fight was Internationl Czech Pro Boxing Title for 10 x 3 min. in the weight division 90,71 with the Czech pro boxer and former IBF Inter-Continental Title holder Ladislav Kutil against René Huebner from Germany, former double professional German Title holder. The fight was stoped in the 5th round and the winner by TKO was Ladislav Kutil, Czech Republic, one of the organizers of the Heroes Gate event …

Daressalam, Tanzania;  with immediate effect we have a new WKF office in Tanzania.

Our new WKF TANZANIA president is Mr. Emmanuel SHIJA.

Soon we will see the professional fighters of Tanzania in the World ranking.

Mr. Shija confirmed also the participation of the team in the World Championship in Varazdin, Croatia in July.

Before he will send his referees to the African continental seminar end of April to Kampala.
