On the last WKF GERMANY meeting the members confirmed Mr. Andreas TILLMANN as president for four more Years.

Mr. Tillmann has a long career in martial arts and is an expert in self-defence, Kickboxing and management. In the last weeks he relaunched with the German head office many new events, seminars for the members and more. He started already the promotion for the scheduled WKF World Championships in Dresden in 2014.

In Varazdin WKF GERMANY will be once again the biggest team and if you want to become Champion you must beat the best German fighter.

“Athens VS Melbourne” presented by the Fearless Pride Promotions and a world title fight  in the Super Middleweight category -78 kg in Kick Boxing with K 1 rules is on !

The 4 times World champion & captain of the Hellenic team of Athens Giannis “The Psycho” Sofokleous, will face the Australian champion Eric “Diamond Cutter” Diamandstein in his home crowd.

However the Greek champion will be support by the Melbourne’s massive Greek community and the Kick Boxing fans will enjoy a spectacular main event.

Giannis Sofokleous is up the present time a member of the Greek Boxing & Kick Boxing team and a 4 times world Kick Boxing champion ( WAKO PRO & WPKA). The Fireman from Kavala, have a record of 59 wins and only 5 losses. In his career Sofokleous takes wins against strong fighters, such as Cedric Anad ( France), Ramasan Beyaskaya ( Turkey), Yordan Yankov (Bulgaria), Hasan Etaki & Orlando Vitt (Holland) & Chris Johnson (New Zealand).

The members of WKF SWITZERLAND vote on their last general assembly for a new team and leadership.

New Switzerland president is Mr. Robert STEINER, mail. He was already “head of team” of the Swiss WKF team in Vienna last September by the European Championships.

Mr. Steiner is coming to Varazdin with the official Swiss team and he has also top class pro fighters and referees with WKF license. If you want to book Swiss Champions for your next event send him just a mail.

Buenos Aires, Argentina;  WKF ARGENTINA president Mr. Carlos SUAREZ announce a hot 2012 with many hot events.

Next event is on April 7th in Puerto MADRYN, south in Argentina. Main fight is for the Argentinian pro title belt Mielnik vs. Fernandez.

WKF is everywhere, because “we are the real global player”

The first WKF South Africa pro event of the year took place in the Beautiful riverside setting of the Ghost House outdoor entertainment venue with seven professional fights and some great amateur action opening the proceedings.

A beautiful clear African afternoon and evening proved a perfect setting and the aromas of meat cooking on the barbecues made for a very relaxing environment.

Top of the bill was WKF World number 4 and South African K-1 champion Nkosinathi “Tiger” Ximba who met Apheus Mphokane a much larger fighter who stood in following the non arrival of official opponent Brian Ntiwane who one can only assume was too scared to meet the Tiger.

Greece has received the honor of being chosen for the Kick Boxing event “ ATHENS VS MELBOURNE 2012 “ on June the 2nd at the Pavilion Hall of Nth Melbourne, headed by two proud Greeks born outside of Greece, Con Lazos a top Taekwondo & Martial arts trainer and WKF Oceania & Australia president George Pergialis a former Kick Boxing champion & journalist. Both together brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of Martial & Fighting arts to the event. In keeping with the spirit of the upcoming Olympic Games, it has announced that a team of Melbourne’s Greek and Aussie fighters, will face an Athenian‘s team of Hellenic and National fighters.

Papua New Guinea (PNG) is indeed the land of mystery with natural wilderness, breathtaking landscapes and unexpected tropical jungles.

In PNG’s capitol city Port Moresby and Sir John Guise sports complex stadium at 11 & 12 March, several teams stage the ring on the 12^th National Kick Boxing Championships.

The NCD team of Papua New Guinea, leading the way with 7 gold, 4 silver & 3 bronze medals.

WKF president of PNG & former world champion Stanley Nandex  and WKF Oceania president George Pergialis select fighters for the upcoming world championships on 16 – 21 July in Varazdin Croatia.

The big deal is done !!!

on the last day of the World Championships in Varazdin we have two World title fights.

Croatian hero Mario AGATIC challenge the current USA WKF Champion for Superwelterweight -69.5 Kg / 153 lbs World title belt.

And Ukraine beauty Olena OVCHYNNIKOVA from Union Gym Lviv challenge US top lady Tiffany VAN SOEST from San Diego Black House team Nogueira IN FULL MUAY THAI rules – 56,40 Kg.

They fought already in Las Vegas and Olena has to stop the fight because of an injury.

Everybody knows Olena, “the beauty from the east” , and Tiffany is for sure the best female fighter on west coast in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, but not yet well known in Europe.

Tiffany VAN SOEST began her martial arts career at the tender age of 8 with the United States Karate Organization in Riverside, CA. Showing strong commitment and resolve in her training, she achieved the rank of Nidan, 2nd degree Black Belt, by 17. For over 10 years Tiffany not only dedicated herself to achieving excellence in her own training, but has also played an important role in the growth and development of hundreds of students as an instructor.

After achieving her personal goals of winning consecutive USKA State, National, and World karate titles (with some of her students doing the same), Tiffany decided to begin training in Muay Thai. Her tremendous athleticism and heart drive her to train and compete with the best. She currently is the USMTA featherweight champion of California with a record of 8-1 and is definitely looking to improve and gain more experience in the ring.

With plans of continuing on in Muay Thai and transitioning to MMA, Tiffany fights simply for the love of the sport and the competitive thrill. Outside of the gym, Tiffany is a student at Cal State San Marcos where she is earning her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and certifications in personal training. With the little free time left from her busy schedule, this laid back, mellow girl just likes to surf and have fun.
